Hi again from a very lucky monkey. I started out the day with a long walk around camp. Then we went to Centerville to see the worlds largest candle. On to Richmond to do the Tiffany Trail. Another very long walk around town. Went into the new library to see The Tiffany windows from the old library. they saved them and also pieces of the old building. There were three Churches with windows. one Church interior was all designed by Tiffany. Unfortunately they didn't open for tours until Tuesday. We were parked on the main street and then drove around town looking at all the different murals. We saw a train Mural that we thought would be perfect for Ed to have put along side the iron horse trail in Alamo. We had stopped in a parking lot to take pictures of it when a Police Car pulled in front of us. He had seen Cmor parked and then noticed us wandering Round. He thought we were lost. After he met me and we all talked awhile, he adked if I would like to get in his car. Of course I said yes. What a lucky monkey. I asked him why so much of the town was not opening until Tuesdays. He told us an awful story. Downtown used to be very busy like most towns. In 1968, the hardware store used to keep gun powder in the basement. There was a gas leak and an explosion that killed 40 people. They are still working to get the downtown area popular again. We talked about the murals and he tild us a bit about the artists and then asked if we had seen the one of Hoagie Carmichael. When we said no, he said follow me. He led us thru lots of turns and then pulled over and we parked behind him. what a nice man. We also saw a giant chair. I sure meet some interesting people. hugs to everyone at home.
