North Dakota Day Two

Good morning everyone. Cmor and I are still in North Dakota. We have not blown away yet. We started out our day very early and tried to see the Capitol and the heritage museum. We were too early. That is probably at the bottom of our list of Capitols. Too modern. Our friend Jim's grandfather was a U.S. Senator here in 1917. I bet Jim barely remembers those days! We went to Fort Abraham Lincoln and into a CCC built cabin to see a movie . Blew next to The On A Slant Indian Village and explored the Earth Lodges. Up next to the top of the hill to climb into a blockhouse. Very steep ladders inside. Saw the barracks and met a soldier. He took us into the commisary. Then on to Custer's House. I saw the remains of where the officers lived.

We drove next to the big town of Wing. It is about 5 blocks square. Our friend Rudi was from here. You were right, Grumpy, when you said the list of things to see in Wing was really short. The entire main street had  5 buildings. Red'sLucky Spur, Chat-n-Chew Cafe, Wing Hotel, Senior Center and Plumbing and Heating. Cmor was bigger than the heating shop. The other side of main street was the Post Office.

We went next to see The World's largest Crane. then on to Jamestown to see the World's Largest Bison. I think someday I will make a list of the World's Largest things that I have seen. I hope all you friends that are reading this aren't too envious of the cool weird things I see. Don't worry, I will keep sharing them. Can anyone guess what State we will blow into next? hugs from Junior
