stadiums/tacoma

Hi everyone, I was much happier yesterday than in Seattle. We got up and Cmor took us to Safeco field where we bought tickets for the tour. I was wearing my Giants cap and got some kidding. They admitted they were very broad minded and let me in. Again, during the tour, I had my picture taken many times. There were lots of people so the tour got split up. We were lucky and got put into the 1/3 size group. Our guide was the head of the tour section. He was a "mature " gentleman and he and Don really got along well. They had the field all set with tables and linens and fancy glasses. They were celebrating the induction into the Mariners Hall of fame for Jamie Moyer. As we toured the stadium and went into boxes, etc. We kept seeing the servers putting out food and then all the players and guest arriving. Our guide, at the beginning of the tour told us we were lucky to see the roof closed, because they don't do it very often. Then later in the tour they actually opened it. It only took 10 minutes and it was fun to watch the shadow and sun light moving across the field. I also met Stanley, a monkey from Canada traveling with his people.

Then we went across the street and marveled at the approx. 30 semis painted red with Taylor Swift's picture on them. They were all getting unloaded for her appearance there at the century link stadium, next door. Then off we went to buy tickets for that stadium. After we  waited in, line in the team shop of course, we were taken into the lover level of the stadium. We took pictures of the wall of helmets and then were told that was the last picture we could take. Her majesty, Taylor told them no one could take pictures of her minions setting up her stage. We couldn'teven see the field or any section that looked down on the field. My people were not happy. Donna looked at Don and said, lets get our money back. Don told the guide we were leaving and wanted a refund. She said okay. We went out to the ticket booth , followed by an attorney and his family, a journalist with his family and a few others. At the ticket window, a riot began. The little Mr Peepers type man behind the glass, refused the refunds. Lots of yelling, bad words, threats of suing and the journalist with his camera asking for name, rank and serial number. Finally saner minds prevailed (Donna) and things got strightend out.  We went next to Tacoma and stopped at LeMays Americas Car Museum. Don went in to look,  but decided he likes Als Museum better and he can go every month for their club meetings. Next we went to see Chuhuly's bridge of Glass. It was a gift to the city and I did  not even have to be in the stupid backpack. The bridge actually crossed the freeway and several railroad tracks with trains passing below us. The bridge went between the glass museum and the old Union StTion which is now a courthouse. The first section of the bridge was divided into many shelves of
chihulys sculptures and the next section was a glass ceiling just like in the other exhibit. To make it even more wonderful, there was a man playing the violin on the bridge. More Chihuly inside Union Station. Don mumbled something about that being enough Chihuly for this trip. Well. I am going to senfpd this blog and see id I have enough energy to do today's. Wait, I almost forgot, Cmor got Donna upset today, when they passed the Almond Roca outlet twice and he wouldn't stop. That is the first time Donna has been upset with poor Cmor. In case I don't  write anymore, goodnight from Jr.
