Mt. St. Helen

Not as tired as I thought after a nice cold glass of lemonade and a short walk in some magical water drops falling from sky. Did I tell you all that it poured for awhile while we sleeping at the Marina?
Anyway, We stopped at Alder Dam lookout on the way to Mt Ranier. That dam is15 feet thick at top and 234 feet thick at the bottom. Went to town of Elbe next. We were going to take the Steam train scenic route ride (2 hours) but cancelled because the mountain was clouded in. Did see the Hobo Inn, where you sleep in train cars, and a beautiful 1800's .Church. On towards Mt. St. Helen. Stopped in Kid City to see the 20 foot tall Bigfoot, madewith cement and ash. Next to it was an A frame house that was one week from completion when the mountain buried the whole first floor in mud.  On up the mountain and stopped at several lookout points. Stopped T HoffstDt Bluff visitor center. They were setting up for a wedding overlooking Spirit Lake and Mt. St Helens Destruction. Don't think I would want my wedding there. Continued going up to learning center where we got wrist bands to go into The observatory on Johnston Ridge where we saw two movies abot the volcano and the way life is returning to the mountain. Now we are back in the low lands and I am trying to decide where to take my people next. Hugs from Jr. P.S. Don't worry, Donna isn't upset with Cmor anymore.
